Restored and built for racing in 1990 it was raced throughout the 1990’s by Jeremy Welch, with numerous race victories. The car is consequently well known to Denis Welch Motorsport. The car was kept in storage until sold by the family in 2013 to the present owner. The car returned to the track and was successfully campaigned in the Wootcote Trophy and GTSCC series and remains in immaculate condition. This car is perfect for competing in a variety of series in addition to those it has already raced in including: AMOC 1950’s Sports Cars, Tour Auto and the Le Mans Classic to name but a few.
Born to race
Presented in stunning condition with an Aluminium boot, doors, wings and louvered bonnet, the car is light and beautifully painted in red and white. Adding to the purposeful stance are the twin aero screens, 13” Moto-Lita leather rim steering wheel and mohair tonneau cover.
The car is fitted a Denis Welch Motorsport built race engine featuring steel crankshaft, rods and Omega forged pistons. The engine is fed by twin 2” SU carburettors and a pair of Facet Silvertop fuel pumps. Breathing is further aided by a big bore tubular exhaust manifold and silencer system.
Ready to return to track
This car already has a proven race pedigree and is already kitted out and ready to race again. The Cobra Monaco driver’s seat has FIA validation until 2018 whilst the, Willans 4 point harness and 100 litre ATL fuel tank is valid until 2017. A current FIA HTP and V5C log book are also provided.
