The route covered some 2000km between Paris and Cannes and takes in a variety of road, track and hill climb challenges. For this special anniversary edition a night stage was also added for the first time. Lajournade, who had led from the first day, took overall victory from main rival, Caron in his Shelby Cobra, by 3m 05s.
