Thanks to the VBOX HD2 fitted to the car some great in-car action has been captured giving you a driver's eye view of the challenging conditions they experienced.
Fresh from a driver change and refuelling stop, watch as the lights turn green with Jeremy Welch the last car in the safety car train working his way through. Look out at for the wayward Lotus Elan (40 seconds in) which gives him a sharp nudge on the rear quarter and damages the car.
In the second part of the video you can really see the conditions deteriorating. Visibility already poor due to rain and spray was made worse by the heated windscreen struggling to keep the view clear.
