This year saw the return of Jaguar Racing to the Le Mans Classic with a special round of the Jaguar Classic Challenge. The opening rounds were won by Julian Thomas driving his Denis Welch Motorsport built, powered and prepared E-Type.
Le Mans is a unique track, not just the length at over 8 miles but its mix of long straights some slow corners and chicanes. The circuit really suits cars which are powerful and who can achieve a high top speed. Julian's car didn't stay there for long though. Watch as the power of his car reels in the cars ahead before he passes them to take the lead. Thomas would go on to win the 50 minute race by 35 seconds.
