The Austin Healey 3000 of Nils-Fredrik Nyblaeus and co-driver Jeremy Welch battled wet conditions to win the Masters 3 Hours at Magny-Cours. Pitting under the safety car for their compulsory driver change and re-fuel they went on to win the race a lap ahead of the rest of the field, despite a near miss with a Lotus Elan which attempted to punt the car off of the track (40 seconds in).
The Healey Driver International race at Zandvoort included the Donald Healey Memorial Trophy. it attracted Healey cars and drivers from across Europe, including 4 prepared and supported by Denis Welch Motorsport. Split into two 30 minute sessions the race was dominated by Jeremy Welch. He led the first half by 16 seconds and would start on pole position for the second. He kept his nerve to win by less than a second, despite suffering from brake and tyre issues.

Julian Thomas drives his Jaguar E-Type in the 2016 Spa Six Hours Endurance race. The race featured a grid of over 100 cars in a variety of classes. Watch the opening 3 laps of the race as Thomas drives hard, catching and passing some of the faster Ford GT40's.

In late December 2013, Nigel Calladine -- the owner of The John Partridge clothing company -- had an idea for a video with brand association at its core. He needed something of a life style promotion piece that showed the values of exceptional British style, use of first class materials and timeless quality.
After a problem practice Jeremy Welch in his Austin Healey 3000 starts from the last row of the grid in the pouring rain and works his way through the 34 cars to lead the race by lap 15. Pit stopping after 34.5 minutes where Denis Welch takes over with the silver E-Type getting out a little quicker and staying ahead. Denis goes on to set fastest lap of the race as conditions begin to dry.
The last lap of the Spa 6 Hours. This race takes place at the legendary Spa Francorchamps circuit in the Ardennes Forest region.

This year saw the return of Jaguar Racing to the Le Mans Classic with a special round of the Jaguar Classic Challenge. The opening rounds were won by Julian Thomas driving his Denis Welch Motorsport built, powered and prepared E-Type. Le Mans is a unique track, not just the length at over 8 miles but its mix of long straights some slow corners and chicanes. The circuit really suits cars which are powerful and who can achieve a high top speed. In this in-car footage you can watch as Julian Thomas starts the race from second place on the grid before falling back to behind 2 other E-Types and a D-Type driven by 1988 Le Mans 24hr winner Andy Wallace. Julian's car didn't stay there for long though. Watch as the power of his car reels in the cars ahead before he passes them to take the lead. Thomas would go on to win the 50 minute race by 35 seconds.
In a dramatic start to the Moss Trophy race for pre 63 GT cars, Jeremy starts from 9th position and makes a superb start to climb up to 4th by the 3rd corner. Despite one of the perspex side screens blowing out, dislodging the LH door mirror and losing the glass from the interior mirror, he would climb as high as second by being one of the last drivers to make his pit stop. You can watch the first two laps of the race in our video. Watch out for the spinning Jaguar E-Type that nearly ended his race prematurely.

This year's Goodwood Revival saw one of the most famous Austin Healey 3000 ex-works cars, DD 300 return by invitation to this presitgious event, driven by owner Christiaen van Lanschot and co driver Jeremy Welch. The spectacular one-hour Kinrara Trophy race started at 18:30 hours as the sun was setting. Thanks to the VBOX in car camera system we are able to share the first 19 laps of the race direct from the cockpit.
