Twenty three Healey's filled the starting line of the Healey Driver International Invitation Challenge Race for the John Gott and Dave Hardy Memorial Trophies to compete in two, 20 minute, sprint races.
Bruce Montgomery in his Austin-Healey 3000 started from pole position to fight for 3rd place in the first race and finish right behind David Smithies and David Grace.
The audience saw the famous ex John Chatham 1961 Le Mans car, DD 300 with Karsten Le Blanc as a solo driver. Karsten battled his way up in the second race by two positions to finish in a high 5th place.
The Healey Endurance Car driven by Martyn Corfield attained fastest lap times in class in both sprint races - 77.31 mph in first and 77.33 mph in second. Martyn completed the second race 8th overall and 1st in class.
Nils-Fredrik Nyblaeus in his Healey 3000 was forced to pitstop during first race, due to oil on the windscreen from the car in front. Nils started the second race from the back and quickly moved from 22nd to 7th place, unfortunately he had to retire from the race after a collision in Towers Corner caused by the Healey in front spinning giving no chance to avoid the crash.
Jaap Sinke in Healey 3000 after a great battle finished the first race in a high 4th place.
Team Robert Mills and Ian Montgomery enjoyed the event in Robert's 100 they completed the race in 17th position.
