The fast F1 circuit although challenging, proved no match to the skills of Julian Thomas and Calum Lockie in their 1964 Ford Falcon.
The first race of the day was a thrilling battle between the two Falcons driven by Julian Thomas and Jason Minshaw along with Jake Hill's Mustang all vying for the top 3 places, thus culminating in an outstanding win for Julian and Calum Lockie.
Equally challenging was the Gentleman Drivers race which was a combined grid with the NKHTGT meaning a starting grid of 34 cars ranging from MGBs to Cobras with both groups having different pit stop and finishing times, leading to a sometimes confusing race.
Nils Frederick Nyblaeus and Jeremy Welch in the Healey 3000 YOP 999, confidently moved through a very mixed grid from position 27, chasing Keith Ahlers and Billy Bellinger in their Morgan +4 through the 90 minute race, finally pipping them to the P7 and a class win 8 minutes from the end of the race. In addition to a class win Nils and Jeremy also came third in the over 3Ltr category behind a Cobra and an Elan.
