These new wheels are designed with the wheel itself being of a high-grade magmesium alloy that is 40% lighter at 6.8Kg than a standard 5.5" 72 spoke wire wheel, which helps the unsprung weight, thus improving the grip offered by the contact patch of the tyre. The two piece centre in stainless steel is available for splined fitting and a rim only is available for bolt-on fitting so that all forms of cars whether competition or fast road specification can be catered for. Other features include the safety beads on the rim to resist tyres coming off when run at low pressures. The ability to run tubeless reduces friction and helps the tyres run cooler and improves tyre wear. A polished rim is also available.
