The event combined competitive stages with the chance to enjoy the culture, cuisine and history of the region, covering some of the most beautiful and historic places in the world including the famous Golden Triangle - where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet.

Regular Denis Welch Motorsport customer Yves Gouzer, who resides in Switzerland, brought his Healey 3000 over to us prior to the event to be fully prepared, before it was shipped out to Malaysia in readiness for the rally.

The Healey has recently returned to us for a thorough post rally preparation and full service after its trip, which included plenty of challenging mountainous terrain driving, especially near the Chinese border. Thankfully, it sustained little wear and tear and is now ready again for Yves to fly over from Switzerland to drive it home.
